July 4th

July 3rd Bash at Lost Creek Country Club was a blast!!! All the kids loved riding cardboard boxes down the big hills. They were so hot and sweaty - but, nothing a sno cone couldn't help! We enjoyed a wonderful evening with friends and an amazing fireworks show! The kids loved it and can't wait for next year! Saturday morning was the neighborhood parade - here's a picture of Jim with the boys on their bikes in the parade. I decided to drive down to the club and take pictures of the festivities rather than walk from the house with the guys :)

The final 4th of July event was our annual cul-de-sac party. We all gathered with a ton of food - grilled burgers and hot dogs and enjoyed visiting with neighbors. The dads tend to go a little overboard with the fireworks so it was quite an event once the sun started setting. Preston loved it and stayed out until almost midnight with all the dads and kids. Brandon decided it was too loud and I was more than happy to head inside with him. After cleaning up we snuggled on the couch to watch Cars :)

Sunday we all recovered from the busy weekend and late nights. Jim decided we hadn't planned enough for the weekend and was the caddy for a friend of ours in a tournament Fri, Sat, and Sun. Boy, was he tired and sore by the time Sunday night rolled around. We all went to bed early so we could get up Monday and start the week!
